Camp Cool
Camp Cool is a two-day residential training program for university students and young professionals. Diverse participants are welcome, and people with disabilities and indigenous people are particularly welcome. Depending on the participants (local or international), Camp Cool is organized in Bengali or English.
Camp Cool participants stay at the IWB premises and work together with our staff to gain new knowledge and skills. Camp Cool typically involves listening to a presentation, engaging in thoughtful discussion, and actively participating in various sessions in order to learn through a fun, participatory approach about advocacy, networking, public speaking, organizing demonstrations, and making slogans.
IWB has organized several Camp Cools on issues of pedestrian safety, carfree cities, and Revolt Against Plastics with participants from Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Cameroon, and other countries. Participants also learn about the climate crisis and diversity. Participants are encouraged to organize a talent show to increase group cohesion.
All successful participants receive a certificate.
