Cooler Cities Internship Report

The internship will have three main components: online, self-study, in-person and group projects. The online component will involve interacting with the CCA core team and CCA networks to discuss in more depth the car-free cities topic, engage the interns in thoughtprovoking activities, and answer interns’ questions. The self-study component will involve interns watching videos about car-free cities; perusing materials on the CCA website; and watching one of our webinars. They will also complete a bigger group assignment and regularly show the other interns and co-facilitators what they learned. Depending on the availability of the interns and local facilitators, there will also be discussion sessions woven between the online sessions, group activities chaired by the local facilitators and possibly including some non-interns as well. Towards the end of the internship, the interns will be matched with CCA partner activities to serve as volunteers in a local event and gain field experience. At the concluding online session, the interns will provide feedback on the internship and be awarded a digital certificate.
